As you remember, you were presented with 2 choices- either you accept the gift and become a vampire or you refuse the gift of Lord Harkon.

This article tackles what happen when you choose to accept the gift and become a Vampire Lord. When you do, Harkon then asks you to be still, and bites you. After that, you are going to lose consciousness and upon waking, you will find yourself in a strange chamber with a fountain of blood in the center of the room.

Lord Harkon is glad that you are awake and tells you that that the power is growing within you and you can choose to learn your new powers, know what happened to you and ask what is that place.
If you want to know what happened to you, Lord Harkon will tell you that you lost consciousness because of the potency of his blood. At first, your body was overwhelmed by his blood that you slept but now, your flesh has become accustomed to it. Nevertheless, there was no harm done, instead, Lord Harkon will find your strength amazing since not all mortaIs is capable in withstanding the embrace of a Vampire Lord.

Can’t wait to learn your powers? You can begin your training by assuming the mantle of the Vampire Lord first. But you must remember that you will never be the same again – you will strike terror in the hearts of men wherever you go since you already a deadly Vampire Lord.

In assuming the role of the Vampire Lord, you have to go to the magic menu, then “Powers” and locate Vampire Lord.

If you want to revert back to the human form, just click REVERT FORM in the powers menu then Favorites menu.

When you are in the Vampire Lord form, your right hand can drain the life from your foes and your left hand can raise the dead with the use of blood magic. Moreover, the powers of night are also at your hands and you can turn into a swarm of bats and reappear some distance away. If ever you run out of magicka, you can still choose to fight as the beasts do in the ground.

If you are on the ground, you are weaker because you cannot access the blood magic but the night powers are still yours plus you have your claws which are still considered deadly and formidable weapons.

On your journey, your power will grow stronger and new ways will be added so you can use your gifts. Additionally, you can level up us a Vampire Lord by draining blood from enemies even if you are already in Level  81 in Skyrim Dawnguard Vampire Lord Walkthrough Part 1: Become a Vampire Lord.
